Speed Dating
1. How does speed dating work?
Speed dating is a fun and relaxed way to meet new people who are actually keen to start dating (unlike those annoying dating apps)! You’ll have a series of short, one-on-one chats which will go for 5-8 minutes. Ladies will enjoy being seated at a table during the event while the men will keep moving each date. There will be a specific order and the tables are numbered so don't worry about missing out on any dates. After each conversation, you’ll note down whether you’d like to see the person again. Once the event has finished we will analyse if there’s a mutual match, and connect you both so you can keep the conversation going! The details will be shared usually the following day.
2. What happens after the event?
After the event has finished you are welcome to stay around and mingle if you feel like having a further chat with attendees. But no pressure to exchange details then and there, we will compile the mutual matches and email participants with their matches’ contact information. You already did the hard work, now it is time to relax and to get excited!
3. What should I wear?
Dress smart-casual—think of it like a first date! Wear something that makes you feel confident while still being comfortable. Please avoid overly casual attire such as flip-flops, gym wear, or excessively ripped clothing. A neat and well-presented look helps create a great first impression.
4. How many people will I meet?
Our events will host different numbers of guests, usually you'll meet 15-20 people, depending on attendance.
5. What if I don’t match with anyone?
If you don’t receive a match, don’t worry about it too much. It is normal to not find the love of our life on a first try! Each event is a new opportunity 🙂.
6. How do I sign up?
You can sign up through our website by selecting an event and purchasing a ticket.
7. What if I can’t attend after booking a ticket?
Tickets are generally non-refundable, but you may be able to transfer your ticket to a future event. Check our Terms & Conditions for details.
8. Is there an age limit?
Yes, each event has specific age groups to ensure ideal match making conditions. Make sure to register for the appropriate age range (+/- one year acceptable).
9. Can I bring a friend?
Yes! Many people attend with friends. However, just be aware that they will have their own speed dating rotation and you might not end up sitting close by.
10. Can I buy drinks during the event?
Of course you can! During the 5 minute speed dating you will be too busy with vivid and fun conversations that there won't be much time to purchase a drink. However, you are able to purchase drinks before the event starts, in a 15 minute break that will be held in the middle of the event, and after the event.
11. What if I feel uncomfortable or have an issue with another participant?
Our team is there to ensure a comfortable experience. If you feel uncomfortable, don't be afraid to speak with a host and we can handle the situation from there.
12. What if I arrive late?
Due to the nature of the speed dating rotation we are unfortunately unable to allow late comers to participate in the event. Tickets are not refundable for late comers or last minute cancellations (view T&C here for more details). We recommend attending at least 15 minutes before official start time to ensure an easy check in process.
13. What do I need to participate?
At the beginning of the event a physical government issued photo ID will be required to verify details.
Please also be aware that there might be a dress code for the venue.
